New herbicide combo boosts rice yield by 84% while slashing weeds.
A study in New Delhi tested different herbicides on rice fields to see how well they controlled weeds and helped the crops grow. They found that using a combination of two herbicides, one before the rice plants sprouted and one after, was the most effective at reducing weed growth and increasing crop yield. This method led to a significant decrease in weed density and biomass, resulting in a higher crop productivity of 3.92 tons per hectare. Overall, the herbicides helped control weeds and improve the rice harvest.
