The article explores how to improve the quality of digital topographic maps in Ukraine by focusing on edge matching in the creation of a seamless Topographic Database. By ensuring that updated maps align accurately, the overall quality of the database can be enhanced. The researchers found that coordinate transformations between different map zones were not precise enough for analytical methods in ArcGIS.
