Western Balkans Regional Common Market: Paving the Way for Economic Integration
The European Union aims to help Western Balkans countries align with its rules and values through trade agreements. A recent development is the creation of a Regional Common Market in the Western Balkans to mirror the EU's Internal Market Rules. By studying the European Economic Area, where EU rules were successfully exported, the authors suggest that this model could be useful for cooperation between the Western Balkans and the EU. The focus of the study is on public procurement as a case study.
