A study was done to see how different ways of controlling weeds affect the growth of maize plants. They tested various methods like using chemicals and hand weeding. The results showed that using certain chemicals followed by more chemicals or hand weeding helped reduce the number and weight of weeds in the field. This led to better control of weeds and improved the growth of maize plants compared to not controlling the weeds at all.
