New herbicide combo boosts black gram yield in acidic soils!
A study on herbicides for black gram in Manipur found that using a mix of pendimethalin and Imazathapyr, along with hand weeding, led to the highest seed and stover yields. This treatment also reduced weed count and weed dry matter significantly, with the best weed control efficiency at 30 and 45 days after sowing. The researchers concluded that this herbicide combination, along with one hand weeding session and post-emergent Imazathapyr application, is the most effective way to control weeds in Manipur's acidic soils.
