Governments Scrambled to Restrict Exports and Boost Imports of Critical Goods During COVID-19 Pandemic

They collected data week by week and found that starting in February and March 2020, many countries made trade policy changes. Some countries limited exports and made it easier to import, while others focused on only one of these. Surprisingly, some countries didn't change their trade policies at all.
