Revolutionary method turns waste into biodiesel, doubling production yield
Researchers found a way to turn leftover bio-heavy oil from biodiesel production into biodiesel efficiently. They used a special material called porous SiO2 to heat up the oil and methanol, resulting in a high biodiesel yield in just 1 minute at 400°C. This method produced consistent fatty acid methyl esters and could be a new way to recycle bio-heavy oil into biodiesel.
