Billions of cubic meters of natural gas are wasted through flaring each year, harming the environment and contributing to global warming. Strategies to reduce this waste and convert flared gas into useful fuels are being developed. Technologies like LNG and CNG are effective in reducing gas flaring, while GTL technology can turn methane into valuable products like methanol. Reforming processes like SRM and DRM can produce hydrogen-rich syngas from flared gas. These advancements aim to efficiently utilize flared gas and reduce its environmental impact.
