New Agricultural Tech Boosts Barley Farm Productivity in Iran
The study looked at how efficient barley farms in Khash County, Iran are in producing crops. They used a method called window data envelopment analysis to measure this efficiency over a four-year period. The results showed that the farmers were quite efficient, with an average technical efficiency of 0.99. The study also found that the total productivity of the farms increased by 1.95 over the same period, mainly due to technological advancements like new irrigation methods. To further improve productivity, it is recommended to implement new agricultural technologies in the region.
