Three different models were tested to understand how groundwater flows in Beijing Plain, China. The first model showed groundwater everywhere in deep aquifers, leading to inaccurate results. The second model could show groundwater levels but took longer to calculate travel times. The third model was the most accurate, showing where groundwater could be captured and used for managing water resources effectively.
