New tables improve accuracy of distribution fit tests for censored data.
Goodness of fit tests are used to check if a sample data fits a specific distribution. This study focused on creating tables of critical values for three tests (KS, CVM, AD) based on the Burr type X distribution. The researchers used Monte Carlo simulation to estimate parameters and study the power performance of the tests with different sample sizes. The goal was to provide a tool for testing hypotheses about the distribution of data, especially in cases where parameters are unknown or data is censored.
