Paper Summary

The study aimed to find the best method for measuring soil fertility in Indonesia by comparing different ways to extract cation exchange capacity (CEC). They tested 97 soil samples using various extraction methods and found that using ammonium acetate at pH 7.0 showed the most accurate results and correlated well with soil pH levels. This method can be used for both acidic and alkaline soils in Indonesia.
