Wheat farmers boost yields and profits with precision nutrient management
A study was conducted to see how different levels of nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) affect wheat growth and yield. They found that using 150% of the recommended fertilizer dose resulted in the highest yield and profits. Using a Green Seeker to guide nitrogen application saved fertilizer without reducing yield. Applying 150% NPK led to a 10.6% increase in grain yield compared to the recommended dose. Overall, using 150% NPK in wheat farming in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, can improve efficiency and profits for farmers.
