A study was done to see how different levels of drip irrigation and weed management affect maize growth and yield. They found that using 80% or 100% of the recommended irrigation level gave similar maize yields. However, using 100% irrigation level gave slightly better profits. Applying atrazine herbicide before weeds sprouted gave the highest maize yields and profits compared to other weed control methods. Weeds reduced maize yield by 42% if left uncontrolled.
