Revolutionizing Mung Bean Farming: Vermicompost Boosts Soil Health and Yields
A study looked at how using vermicompost and rhizobial inoculation affects mung bean growth and soil properties. The best results came from using 16 tons of vermicompost per hectare with rhizobia, which improved soil pH, electrical conductivity, cation exchange capacity, and organic matter. The treatment with 8 tons of vermicompost, rhizobia, and half the recommended mineral fertilizer showed the tallest plants, heaviest roots, and most root nodes. It also had the highest number of pods per plant, pod weight, 1000 seed weight, and total yield.
