New Finger Millet Variety Boosts Nutrient Concentration and Uptake Levels
The study looked at how different varieties of finger millet and levels of NPK nutrients affected the concentration and uptake of major nutrients in the crop. They found that the VR-847 variety had higher nutrient levels compared to other varieties, and using higher levels of NPK fertilizer (120-60-40 N, P2O5, K2O kg ha-1) resulted in increased nutrient concentration and uptake throughout the growth stages of the crop.
