Socialist economy thrives with widespread use of markets for all.
The article argues that using markets in a socialist economy can be justified. It suggests that in order to achieve the main goal of socialism, which is promoting people's self-realization through work, citizens should freely produce for others' genuine needs. An egalitarian market economy with equal income and public goods can better meet people's diverse needs than a centrally planned economy. Therefore, the article concludes that there is a socialist justification for using markets.
