Organic farming in Italy helps olive farms become more efficient. The study looked at how organic farming affects technical efficiency in olive farms. They found that using organic methods increases efficiency by around 10%, especially in small farms. Factors like producing high-quality products, selling directly, and using labor and machines more intensively make farms more likely to go organic. On the other hand, factors like farm location, family labor availability, and financial capital make farms less likely to switch to organic farming.
