Senegal's Food Insecurity Worsens as Agricultural Productivity Declines Alarmingly

Agricultural production has grown weakly from 1961 to 2017, leading to a decrease in its contribution to fighting food insecurity. The creation of value in agriculture at a national level has declined, dropping from over 24% in 1987 to 18% in 2016, while other sectors are becoming more productive.
