The article compares different models to analyze data with lots of zeros, like rainfall data. They looked at three models: Poisson Regression, Zero-Inflated Poisson (ZIP), and Zero-Altered Poisson (ZAP). The study found that the Zero-Altered Poisson model was the best for dealing with this type of data. The Zero-Inflated Poisson model was also good, but not as effective as the Zero-Altered Poisson model.
