The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are decision-making methods that consider qualitative factors. AHP converts ordinal scales into ratio scales through pairwise comparisons, while ANP also uses pairwise comparisons to get ratio scales. The main difference lies in how they model problems and calculate final priorities from the ratio scales. This paper provides an overview of AHP and ANP, along with an example of ANP in action.
