Air pollution in Chinese city exceeds safety standards, impacting residents' health.
Air pollutants in a low-industry city in Northwestern China were studied from 2015 to 2018. PM 2.5 and PM 10 were the main pollutants, exceeding China's Grade II standard. Pollutant levels were highest in winter and lowest in summer. Local emissions and southwest winds were major factors influencing pollution. Pollution from nearby provinces also contributed to poor air quality. The findings suggest the need for regional air pollution control measures to improve air quality.
