A study on maize growth and yield found that using a mix of organic and chemical fertilizers resulted in the best outcomes. By combining farmyard manure, vermicompost, and chemical fertilizers, the maize plants grew taller, had thicker stems, more leaves, and internodes. The plants also produced more cobs, longer cobs, and more grains per cob. Ultimately, this combination led to a higher grain yield compared to other treatments.
