Revolutionizing Agriculture: No-Tillage Practices Boost Soil Water Content and Wheat Yield
The study looked at different ways of tilling soil to see how it affects soil water content and wheat yield in a region with a Mediterranean climate. They tested six different tillage methods and found that conservation tillage practices helped keep more moisture in the soil compared to traditional methods. Even though the soil had good moisture levels for plant growth, the tillage method didn't have a big impact on the wheat yield. This suggests that using reduced or no-tillage methods could be a good alternative to traditional tilling in Mediterranean conditions.
