Optimizing nitrogen levels boosts NERICA-4 rice yield in upland conditions.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer and seeding rates affect the growth and yield of a type of upland rice called NERICA-4. They found that using 90 kg of nitrogen per hectare and a seeding rate of 60 kg per hectare resulted in the highest grain yield. The nitrogen fertilizer had a bigger impact on grain yield compared to the seeding rate. This information can help farmers increase their rice production in upland conditions.
