Conventional Banks Outperform Islamic Banks in Indonesian Profitability Study.
Islamic banking in Indonesia is compared to conventional banking to see which is more profitable. The study uses data analysis to look at factors affecting profitability. Results show that conventional banks are more profitable than Islamic banks. To make Islamic banking more popular, socialization efforts are needed, starting from mosques and schools. Developing halal industries and tourism can also help. Increasing economies of scale through mergers or acquisitions is important for Islamic banks to compete with conventional banks.
