Phosphorus fertilizer levels significantly impact onion yield in Punjab, Pakistan. After six years of study, it was found that the best combination for maximum marketable bulb yield is NPK @ 100-310-100 kg ha -1 . Poor farmers can opt for NPK @ 100:210:100 kg ha -1 , average farmers for NPK @ 100:260:100 kg ha -1 , and rich farmers for NPK @ 100:310:100 kg ha -1 to increase profits and maintain soil fertility for onion cultivation.
