The study looked at different ways waste is collected and disposed of in Kumasi, Ghana. They found that households in one model didn't like it because waste wasn't picked up often enough. Private companies also struggled to keep up with waste collection. All waste from the different models ended up in the landfill. The study suggests that recycling and composting should be promoted to make waste management more sustainable in the city.
