New ARID Index Improves Wheat and Barley Yield Prediction Accuracy

The study looked at how vegetation in dry areas is changing due to climate change and human activities. They used a method to measure human impacts on land use and found that both climate change and human activities are affecting the growth of plants in the north Tianshan Mountains. The research showed that overall, the vegetation in the area has been increasing from 2000 to 2015.
