New Spectral Index Revolutionizes Monitoring Plant Health and Nutrition Levels!
The study looked at how the amount of water in wheat leaves affects the accuracy of measuring leaf area and nitrogen levels. They used a new method called the relative adsorptive index in the 2000-2300 nm region (RAI2000-2300) to do this. The RAI2000-2300 was found to be closely linked to leaf area and nitrogen levels in the plants. It was easier to measure leaf area than nitrogen levels using this method. The study also found that as the water content in the leaves increased, the relationship between RAI2000-2300 and leaf area/nitrogen levels became weaker.
