A new high-quality and high-yield rice variety called Yusi 6 was developed to improve rice production in Guangxi. It was created by selecting the best plants from another rice variety over four generations. Yusi 6 has a growth duration of around 117-127 days, with characteristics like tall plants, long panicles, high seed setting rate, and good grain weight. In tests, Yusi 6 had the highest yield compared to other varieties, showing an increase in yield of over 8%. It was found to be stable, with good quality grains and strong growth, making it suitable for planting in different regions of Guangxi and South China.
