The study estimated that residents in Beijing are willing to pay 143 yuan per household per year for a 50% reduction in air pollution. This adds up to a total of 336 million yuan per year from residents in the research area. Factors like household income, education level, population size, and age influenced residents' willingness to pay. The study also discussed some challenges in using this method in China.
