New method accurately estimates population mean, improving statistical analysis worldwide.
The article compares four ways to estimate the average of a group of numbers from two sets of data with unknown averages and the same unknown spread. The method used is to pick the group with the highest average. The four ways to estimate the average are not affected by changes in where the data is centered or how spread out it is. The article calculates and compares how accurate these estimations are. The results are similar to those found in a previous study, even when using small amounts of data.
