The article examines wage differences in Spain based on industry and region. It uses data from a survey in 1995 to show that even after considering factors like education and experience, there are still wage variations. The study reveals a dual wage system in Spain, where wages are linked to cost of living in high-productivity areas and to productivity in low-value added regions. This dual system is influenced by the collective bargaining system in place.
