The article examines how immigrants move in and out of jobs in different regions of Norway to see if local job markets help them integrate or exclude them. They compare immigrants to Norwegian-born children of immigrants and the general population. By tracking immigrants who arrived in 2004 and 2008, they found that immigrants play a big role in filling job vacancies in regional markets. However, they also found that immigrants sometimes replace non-immigrant workers, and new immigrants can replace older immigrants in the job market.
