New hybrid rice variety Hanyou 113 boosts yields and fights drought.
A new hybrid rice variety called Hanyou 113 was created to be water-saving and resistant to drought. It was tested in different regions and showed good resistance to diseases like rice blast and bacterial blight. Hanyou 113 had a strong root system, moderate plant size, and yielded well in various trials, even outperforming other rice varieties. It was found to be suitable for early rice cultivation in South China and as a semi-late rice in the Yangtze valley due to its high yield, good quality, and adaptability.
