The banking system in Zambia has not grown as expected despite reforms. Only big companies and a few small ones can get loans. Few people in Zambia have bank accounts. Foreign banks haven't introduced many new services. The paper looks at why this is happening and suggests ways to improve access to finance in Zambia.
