The article analyzes how financial support from the EU affected farm incomes in Poland after joining the EU. Direct payments were the main factor boosting rural farm incomes, allowing for modernization and increased spending. However, smaller farms still struggle to make ends meet, while larger, more specialized farms benefit the most from EU support.
