Discarded Embryos Become Healthy Babies, Offering Hope for Infertile Couples
Embryos with poor appearance can still develop into healthy blastocysts for transfer and freezing. By growing these low-quality embryos in the lab, researchers found that nearly a quarter of them turned into viable blastocysts. Some of these blastocysts were frozen and later used in fertility treatments, resulting in successful pregnancies and healthy babies. This method could help reduce the number of discarded embryos and increase the chances of having a baby through IVF.
