Boosting Red Bean's Defense Against Drought with SA Treatment
The study looked at how a substance called SA affects the activity of an enzyme called POD in red bean leaves when they are under water stress. After treating the leaves with SA for three days, the activity of POD increased. The amount of SA used affected how much the POD activity increased. Leaves under water stress had higher POD activity compared to leaves without water stress. Additionally, when leaves under water stress were treated with SA, their POD activity increased even more.
