New Study Finds CVT Tractors More Fuel Efficient Than Standard GT
Tractors with continuously variable transmissions (CVT) were found to be more fuel efficient than those with standard geared transmissions (GT) at lower power levels. However, at higher power levels, the GT with shifted up gears and throttled back was more fuel efficient. The study recommends testing with different loads and speeds to compare fuel consumption accurately. More research is needed to see if these findings apply to all CVT tractors or just this specific model.
