A study looked at how an increase in low-skilled immigrants in Denmark affected native workers from 1991 to 2008. By analyzing data on immigrants placed across different areas, they found that more immigrants led young and less experienced native workers to move into less physically demanding jobs. This shift resulted in higher wages, more jobs, and better job opportunities for low-skilled native workers.
