Construction land in Southern Loess Plateau increasing, farmland decreasing rapidly.
The study looked at how land use has changed in the southern Loess Plateau over 25 years. They divided the area into North and South using GIS technology and analyzed the changes in land use. The results showed that construction land increased, unused land decreased slightly, forest land increased, water bodies increased slightly, farmland decreased, and grassland increased. The changes in land use varied across different regions within the province.
