The study estimated how easily agricultural goods from different countries can be substituted in Turkey. They used data on Turkey's agricultural trade and consumption to calculate these substitution elasticities. The higher the elasticity value, the easier it is to replace imports from different places. The researchers found that for agricultural products in Turkey, the degree of substitution varies across 27 regions.
