Europe needs to change its current system to become more politically united and influential. The current "small steps" strategy is not enough to address the challenges the EU faces. The proposal for a new European Constitution is not sufficient to make the EU a strong player in both politics and economics. A shift towards a decentralized federal system is needed to give the EU more power and effectiveness.
