China's refractories industry has seen significant growth over the past sixty years. In 1949, the annual output was 74 thousand tons, but by 2007, it had reached 29.11 million tons, accounting for 65% of the world's total refractories output. In 2008, China exported 6.18 million tons of refractory products and raw materials to numerous countries worldwide. This demonstrates China's prominent position in the production and export of refractories, particularly for high-temperature industries.
