Brazil has been trying different ways to boost its economy through trade agreements. A study looked at three options: general trade agreements, a free trade area in the Americas, and regional agreements with Mercosur and the EU. They found that general trade agreements are the best choice. However, each option would have different effects on the country's development. The study also showed that these trade policies could make regional inequality in Brazil worse.
