Elevation impacts plant diversity in Luya Mountains, Shanxi.
The researchers studied the vegetation in Luya Mountains, Shanxi, using different indices to measure richness, diversity, and evenness. They found that evenness increased with elevation, while richness and species diversity decreased. The order of species diversity in the vegetation types was identified. The relationships among the diversity indices were well represented in a diagram. Significant correlations were found among richness, species diversity, and evenness indices. Some indices like R0, N1, N2, E4, and E5 were found to be better than others.
