Trade Liberalization Boosts Productivity, Fueling Economic Growth in Asia-Pacific
The study looks at how making trade easier in the Asia-Pacific Region can boost the economy by improving how well workers do their jobs. Unlike past research that focused on cutting taxes, this study looks at how much better workers are in certain countries. Their results suggest that when workers get more productive, countries make more money. Developed countries benefit the most when workers become more efficient. This means removing trade barriers could help wealthier countries even more. Basically, making it easier to trade goods can lead to more money in countries where workers are more productive.
