Studying intercultural communication as a social science is important. A review of 17 publications shows that it enhances communication efficiency between cultures, helps in dealing with diverse cultural environments, and uses knowledge to solve challenges in multicultural settings. It includes studying history, psychological and social roles of culture in different societies, and increases students' understanding of the impacts and dynamics of multicultural interactions.
